- Saturday, Sep 12, 2026 · 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM
- Captains Quarters · 5700 Captain’s Quarters Rd Prospect, KY 40059

Louisville Captain’s Quarters Cars, Coffee and Breakfast takes place on the second Saturday of every month from March through October at Captain’s Quarters restaurant in Louisville. This special event combines a love of automobiles with charitable giving, as all proceeds benefit the Mount Sinai Movement Disorder Clinic and Dystonia research. The event runs from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., weather permitting, with a $5 entry fee that goes directly to local charities.
This Cars and Coffee for a Cause event was started by Jacob Spielberg, a young man from Prospect, Kentucky, who was diagnosed with Dystonia at age 8. Dystonia is an incurable movement disorder that became so severe by age 10 that Jacob could no longer attend school or get out of bed. He underwent Deep Brain Stimulation surgery, which provided treatment for his condition. Now, years after his surgery, Jacob lives a normal life and has turned his passion for cars into a way to give back to the foundation that helped him.
Attendees can stroll through the Captain’s Quarters parking lot and admire a variety of vintage and modern vehicles while enjoying the beautiful waterfront setting. Breakfast items are available inside the restaurant, making it a perfect Saturday morning outing. At the information table, you can sign up for the email list, make a donation, or purchase LOVE LIFE bands and CLIPS FOR A CURE items from Jacob’s other charitable projects.
Come out and support an important cause while enjoying some of Louisville’s finest automobiles. It’s a wonderful opportunity to connect with fellow car enthusiasts and help fund research for a cure for Dystonia.
